With an exception to big biceps, six-pack abs are the second most things that guys these days work hard for. But little do they understand that attaining those beach-ready six pack abs is not just about crunches and leg raises. Here are some of the mistakes which are making it tougher for you to get a six pack core.
1. You’re Not Getting Enough Sleep.
No matter what the reason might be – workload, party or movies, if you deprive yourself of sleep then you are depriving yourself of best results from your six pack abs routine.
Increased Cortisol level (aka stress hormone) due to lack of sleep causes body to slow down and fat burning and hence accumulate fat which makes it even difficult for you to attain those other “worldly” abs.
2. You often skip meals.
It’s like:
“I don’t eat too frequent but when I eat, I make sure that I eat too much.”
When you skip a meal, let’s say breakfast, you deprive cells of much needed nutrition which forces them to store calories for future use. This eventually results in deposition of fat.
The best thing you can do is – Take some time and create a diet schedule in accordance with your working schedule so that none of them clash and you get enough time to eat.

4. You booze a Lot.
I understand how hard it is to deny friends for a couple of drinks every weekend or like every other day. But little do you know that Alcohol is a big enemy obstructing your way in achieving six pack core. One of the first thing that Alcohol does after entering your body is that it slows down the metabolism and hence fat burning process. And that’s something that we don’t want on board with six pack abs routine.
5. You’re Always Stressed.
Like lack of sleep, too much stress also leads to increase in cortisol levels which hinder the fat burning. The stress of pretty much anything will clog you from achieving desirable results from a six pack abs routine.
6. You don’t eat for Six Pack Abs.
Last but not the least, a very important reason why many of us fail to get the most of the six pack abs routine is – lack of proper nutrition and diet.
Many a time, bodybuilders or athletes think that they can get away with anything they eat just because they exercise and workout, but that’s utter nonsense. Working out daily does not necessarily mean that you can munch up anything. Know what’s good for your body and what’s not. Also, get enough protein, good fats, vitamins and fibres from vegetables and fruits and the last thing you will see after all the hard work is – a ripped six pack ab.
